The city of Dwarka also holds great significance as it is mentioned in several ancient texts, including the Mahabharata. Apart from its religious value, Dwarka offers serene views of the Arabian Sea and nearby attractions like the Beyt Dwarka Island and the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga.
Rameshwaram Situated at the southern tip of India in Tamil Nadu, Rameshwaram is famous for the Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and holds a special place in Hindu mythology. It is believed that Lord Rama, after defeating Ravana, worshiped Lord Shiva here to absolve himself of the sin of killing a Brahmin. Pilgrims often visit the temple to offer prayers and bathe in the holy waters of the 22 teerthams (sacred wells) within the temple complex. Rameshwaram is also known for its connection to the Ramayana, as it is believed that this is where Lord Rama built the legendary bridge to Lanka.
Jagannath Puri Situated on the eastern coast in Odisha, Jagannath Puri is famous for the Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Krishna. This temple is an important stop in the Char Dham and is particularly famous for its annual Rath Yatra, where the idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are taken out in a grand procession. Alongside its spiritual importance, Puri is known for its rich culture, traditional Odissi dance, and the scenic Golden Beach, making it both a religious and cultural hub.
